Huntress in Showcase ‘93 #9 “Survival” written by Doug Moench with art by Bill Willingham.
After escaping the explosion, Huntress rushes to David’s home.
Huntress discovers Walker is part of a Colorado Survivalist Camp and he’s stocking guns in preparation for Armageddon. He goes crazy, breaks the deal -wants the guns without having to pay, and starts shooting up the place.
Huntress follows David’s father, Walker Stone, from the house to a warehouse. She decides to take high ground to study her prey.
Huntress is trying, but failing to seperate David’s circumstance from her own. Every fight, every punch, every kick she dishes out is personal, as it should be.
I don’t mind seeing the Huntress that runs into a situation without a plan sometimes because she is implusive and a little crazy, but she can also be patient when she wants; when a lots at stake.
Before her workout, Helena calls David’s mother, and lets her know she’s aware of the abuse he’s suffering.
